Vaccine Policy

Callie Pediatrics expects parents and guardians to immunize their children, according to the schedule recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).  Callie Pediatrics does not accept new patients in the practice who refuse to immunize their children or follow the AAP schedule. Vaccines have reduced and, in some cases, eliminated many diseases that killed or severely disabled people just a few generations before. For most Americans today, vaccines are a routine part of healthcare (for details about the childhood diseases that have been reduced/eliminated.

  • We firmly believe in the effectiveness of vaccines to prevent serious illness and to save lives. We firmly believe in the safety of our vaccines.

  • We firmly believe that all children and young adults should receive all of the recommended vaccines according to the schedule published by the Centers for Disease Control and the American Academy of Pediatrics.

  •  We believe that by not vaccinating you are putting your child and others at unnecessary risk for life-threatening illness, disability, and even death.

  • We believe that vaccinating your kids is a community and social responsibility.  The more people in a group who are vaccinated, the better protection for the weaker among them.
